Producers

Producers: The Force Behind the Process

BASS producers are not just coordinators behind the scenes — they are creative enablers. The people who transform ideas into action, chaos into momentum, and artistic ambition into real experiences. Working side by side with participants, they support every stage of the process, creating the conditions for experimentation, risk-taking, and collaboration to thrive.

From live performance and audiovisual production to stage design, sound, logistics, and creative direction, BASS producers become part of the playground itself: connecting disciplines, solving the impossible, and helping artists push their projects beyond limits. In a city like Barcelona — intense, alive, unpredictable — they keep the energy moving and the creation flowing.

    Alba Sarlé

Mountain mammal, born in the high Pyrenees. I spend my life surrounded by grinder wheels and iron dust; my natural environment is the workshop. I compete in the heavyweight creation league, being the metal and construction my better-known field.

When finished Fine Arts in Barcelona, I got the purpose of learning to work the iron following a visceral wish, a natural intuition. I knocked on the doors of iron workshops and started to work with ancient lineage black smithers. Later, I started working with Antigua i Barbuda, Jordà Ferré's company. That introduced me to the show/scene world. I have been working for twelve years now in construction and performance of street machine theatre with Jordà and team.

I like to see creation as a daily action, and every day live as the best creation field. A creator is the one who deeply recognizes the factors at play, and plays to put them into practice harmoniously through inventiveness and imagination. I believe that taking life as the most exciting creation is the most revolutionary act we can do nowadays.

So, see you soon at the playground!

  • Producer

    Lía Gómez

Hello! My name is Lia Gómez and I’ll be a producer in the Bass program.

Last year, our group developed an immersive video projection with the support of Desilience and the facilities at XRLAB.

This will be my second year working as a producer for Bass, and I’m very excited to be part of this new edition and see what the creatives will develop this time.

My studies background are based in design, motion graphics, and the audiovisual field. I love working on creative projects from pre-production, where ideas are born, through production — making it all happen — and into post-production, where everything comes together and adding final details.

I really enjoy combining technical knowledge with artsy and challenging concepts.

I strongly believe the Bass is a unique opportunity for everyone involved — creators and staff alike — to build confidence, strengthen teamwork, and grow professionally while still enjoying the process and having fun. It also teaches us how to transform challenges or frustrations into new creative solutions, and motivating people through projects that push both creativity and collaboration.

    See you soon!
